CH 01. INT. TELEVISIONSitcoms, animation, and live broadcast
Whether it's a sitcom, an animated series, or a live event, Ryan's writing pairs big laughs with real heart. Here's what he's been up to since 2008.
Family
Ryan spent five seasons as a writer and producer on the Emmy®-winning sitcom, helping create some of TV's most memorable moments across more than a hundred episodes.
His work ran from pitching storylines and seasonal arcs in the room to producing his own episodes: casting, collaborating with directors, department heads, and talent, then cutting each episode to make air.

An irreverent, hard-funny American remake of the beloved British series Friday Night Dinner. Ryan helped write and produce the show in a U.S. writers room working alongside British production house Big Talk under an international production model.

HEAD WRITER / ESPN
Whenever a contestant asked, "Could I have that in a sentence?" the funny sentence the pronouncer read back was Ryan's. He also wrote material live during competition for the ESPN broadcast.
